The Summit Project is proud to say that we are a tax-exempt, 501(c)3, non-profit, charity organization. All donations after Dec 18, 2013 are eligible for tax exemption! Here is our TSP-IRS Determination letter. All donations are used to achieve the mission of The Summit Project.
We are a team of dedicated volunteers, no paid staff, but we have expenses to conduct our events, stay operational, keep our website going, insurance, etc.
Our current fundraising initiative is to raise funds to meet our 2017 operations budget. There is no project like TSP in all of America, and although our overhead expenses are minimal by design, every dollar can help us achieve our mission – “To honor our state’s newest war casualties and the faithful spirit of all Mainers” – and as you can see, we have a very special way of doing this.
