During this event\, competitors will complete as many 1-mile or 1/2-mile loops as they can between sunrise and sunset. U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Kenneth C. Motsay was a Marine Officer Instructor of the NROTC program at the University of Maine Orono who passed unexpectedly on February 13th\, 2023. Cadets from the NROTC Program created the Motsay Fund\, dedicated to advancing the careers and leadership experience of MIDN who show prominence and dedication within the unit. 40% of the funds raised will be used to support this fund\, while 60% of the proceeds will be generously donated to The Summit Project. \nTribute Stones:\nU.S. Army SPC Cassandra L. We will meet at Veterans Memorial Park in Old Orchard Beach where we will have a remembrance ceremony for Capt. Cash followed by a group Ruck/Walk. This is not a road race and the roads will not be closed to traffic. The route will be a shortened version of the historic Run For Cash route and will measure roughly 2 miles with some hills. Carrying a flag is encouraged. We will stick to sidewalks as much as possible and stay together to move safely as a group. Light refreshments at the park after we return. \nThere is no cost to attend this event.  Please consider joining Team Red\, White & Blue (RWB) in its mission to enrich veterans’ lives by connecting them to their communities through physical and social activities. We will meet at Veterans Memorial Park in Old Orchard Beach where we will have a remembrance ceremony for Capt. Cash followed by a group Ruck/Walk. This is not a road race and the roads will not be closed to traffic. The route will be a shortened version of the historic Run For Cash route and will measure roughly 2 miles with some hills. Carrying a flag is encouraged. We will stick to sidewalks as much as possible and stay together to move safely as a group.
