Event created by Travail Adventures with the Maine segment supported by The Summit Project. Members of the community will embark on a 6.1 mile ruck paying tribute to law enforcement officers and military veterans of the local area. Beginning at Baxter Blvd\, route will follow the Eastern Promenade Trail and take pause at the 9/11 Memorial located at Fort Allen Park before returning to starting point. \nGroup will ruck at a moderate pace of approximately 18-20 minutes per mile and move together as one team. Short breaks will occur as needed. The amount of weight you carry in your rucksack is up to you\, however you are required to have two (2) quarts of water\, a reflective band or belt on the outside of your ruck\, and a headlamp (or flashlight). The events are kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Participant safety is of utmost importance. C3RT founder and leader CPT (ret) Danny Stokes\, US Army\, conducts detailed mission analysis on each location to implement risk mitigation\, primarily focusing on the hazards of traffic and weather (among other factors). \nThere will be a Rally Point (RP) 1-2 miles from the End-Point\, for any late comers to join in for the final miles. Upon conclusion of the ruck march\, there will be a “Circle of Trust” closing ceremony where you may hear stories of overcoming adversity. Prepare to be inspired!. The purpose is to conduct outdoor fitness in a group setting\, while honoring our nation’s injured LEOs and Veterans\, the Honorees of the C3RT. \nEach C3RT stop will focus on at least one Honoree in the designated city\, performing outreach efforts which may include presentation of a “Blue Line” flag\, presentation of C3RT swag (T-shirts\, hats\, coins\, patches\, etc.)\, delivery of a meal (ex: Mission BBQ\, or Little Caesars Pizza)\, and a personal visit from the C3RT ruck march participants. It is our military heroes who make great sacrifices in order to serve and protect. Some heroes make the Ultimate Sacrifice with their lives. \nMarine Corporal Dustin Libby was killed in action on December 6\, 2006. This event is to dedicated to carrying on Dustin’s legacy. \nThe Cpl. Dustin Libby Memorial Challenge will be held on Sunday June 28\, 2020 starting at the Mapleton Elementary School.  We are pleased to be a part of the Mapleton Daze Festivities! \nThe Cpl. Dustin Libby Memorial Challenge features a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run\, 5K Run/Walk\, and 10K Run on farm field and tarred roads. At the families request\, all proceeds will go to the Mapleton Recreation Department. DESCRIPTION:Event Type: Public\n  \nClimb to Remember Patriot Day 14/4000′ is an event designed to memorialize those both injured and killed in the 9/11 attacks in New York\, The Pentagon\, and in the heroic sacrifices by those on United Airlines flight 93. Similarly to Flags on the 48\, a program based in New Hampshire\, Climb to Remember – 14/4000′ aims to raise our American flag on ALL the summits of the Maine 14 mountains over 4000 feet in remembrance of 9/11. Together with our climbing brethren in New Hampshire this would raise 62 American Flags over ME/NH 4000+’ peaks!!! \nPlease sign up HERE and Climb to Remember will publish climbing groups as they get filled.\nAgain\, the goal is to have ALL of the 14 4000′ MTNs summited by a climbing group and our Nation’s flag flown at the summit!
