Over 250 competitors from across the country will be here battling it out to see who reins triumphant this year. To date\, the SBTFI has raised more than $350\,000 for veteran programs throughout the state of Maine. This year\, the benefactors are Vet2Vet Maine and Veterans Adaptive Sports & Training (VAST). \nOur volunteers will be helping with resetting stages (such as pasting targets\, resetting steel)\, to making sure water coolers are full for all. This event is a 3-day weekend retreat at beautiful Twin Pines at NEOC. The weekend begins on Saturday with a motorcycle convoy\, BBQ dinner\, and hiker safety briefings. Sunday the event continues with 48 hikers climbing to the summit of (4) mountains in the Baxter State Park region before returning to basecamp for a warriors dinner and bonfire that continues long into the night.
