In addition\, each story is accompanied by the extraordinary way that their communities rally around these families in resounding support. \nOn Sunday\, July 27th\, 2025\, The Summit Project will be presenting their short docufilm “A Journey to Remember” at the Space Gallery as part of the Maine Outdoor Film Festival. Doors will open at 1:40p. Seven short films will be shown consecutively starting at 2p. We do this in tribute of those men and women from our local community whose lives were lost while serving in our nation’s Armed Forces and who fought to defend the freedoms of America that we enjoy each and every day. \nDuring this race\, participants will strap packs to their backs and ruck through the beautiful (yet challenging) trails of Pineland Farms before undertaking “The Crucible\,” a series of 20+ obstacles that will test your strength\, will\, and endurance before crossing the finish line and earning your place amongst the elite. \nChallenge. Serve. Inspire. These are the three pillars of R4TF that we encourage each member of our community to emulate. Together\, we will carry forth the selfless service and extraordinary character that was exemplified by each of our fallen heroes. Heights Outpost. Painted rocks will be placed on marked trails\, and stops will include Veterans Memorial Library’s new location on Main St\, Shin Pond Village\, Wilderness Variety\, Backwoods BBQ\, Bear Mountain Smoke Shack\, and return to Mt Heights outpost to draw the final card. 7 stops total and best of 5 cards. You don’t have to ride to play or win and there are prize rocks out there for grabs.1st place is $200\, 2nd place is $100\, and 3rd place is $50. Parking will be at the park and ride which is only 2 miles to The Outpost by access road.
