10 years ago, leaders of The Summit Project made a promise to all Gold Star family members in the state of Maine that the lives and legacies of their fallen loved ones would never be forgotten. As we reach the 10th Anniversary of driving this ever-important TSP mission, that promise is reaffirmed to forever hold true.
To celebrate 10 years of honoring Maine’s fallen heroes, a team of 10 dedicated individuals will hike 10 miles each day for 10 days on the hardest 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail during the HERO’s HUNDRED.
Each person’s journey will be documented by video as they weather the harshest elements, conquer the most difficult terrain, and power through the fatigue and physical demands of this expedition until they reach the summit of Katahdin-home of Maine’s highest and most unforgiving peak.
