A display case that honors the lives of fallen Maine service members is coming to the Bangor Public Library.
It’ll be on loan for two months from The Summit Project.
The case house stones that represent military members, which are carried by volunteers on hikes of Maine mountains.
The Summit Project is organizing a tribute march on Monday, September 12th, to bring the stones to the library.
It starts at 4:45 p.m. at Pickering Square. Spectators are invited to line Exchange and Harlow Streets to show their support.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will then take place at the library at 5:15 p.m.
