April 26, 2015 Patriot Riders Maine Chapter One held their 8th annual Spring Ride For The Troops. This event is one of our largest fund raisers of the year and the Patriot Riders are proud to say that ALL the money raised goes to help local veterans, first responders and our community.
The ride started at American Legion in York Maine and ended at Bentley’s Saloon in Kennebunk Maine. At the start of the ride the weather was a cool 50 degrees, overcast, and rain in the forecast. Luckily we only had a few raindrops during the 49 mile ride. The Summit Project was also a big part of this event with 15 stones being carried by Patriot Riders members. We also had a TSP flag flying off the back of one of the bikes. This bike was at the front of the 600 bikes that took part in this event.
Our guest speaker was Greg Johnson, his speech was very heart felt as he talked about his time in the Marines and the work that TSP is doing. Also in attendance was First Lady Ann Lepage, she is a wonderful lady and a true supporter of our troops.
