They risk their lives to defend our Nation’s freedom. It is our military heroes who make great sacrifices in order to serve and protect. Some heroes make the Ultimate Sacrifice with their lives.

Marine Corporal Dustin Libby was killed in action on December 6, 2006. This event is to dedicated to carrying on Dustin’s legacy.

The Cpl. Dustin Libby Memorial Challenge will be held on Sunday June 28, 2020 starting at the Mapleton Elementary School.  We are pleased to be a part of the Mapleton Daze Festivities!

The Cpl. Dustin Libby Memorial Challenge features a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, 5K Run/Walk, and 10K Run on farm field and tarred roads. At the families request, all proceeds will go to the Mapleton Recreation Department. We would be honored to have you participate and celebrate our Home Town Hero.  The first 100 participants are guaranteed an event shirt!
