Description: On September 27, Girl Scouts of Maine will explore a Maine treasure, Acadia National Park, with their friends and family while earning the Girl Scout Ranger badge through guided experiences in and around the park. They will be joining Girl Scout sisters from all over the state of Maine at this special event with an option for extending their stay overnight to provide 5 hours of service to the park on Sunday.
A group of Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts will be led on a meaningful journey as they trek up the iconic Cadillac Mountain, each carrying a Summit Project stone symbolizing a fallen Maine hero. This 3.5-mile hike up the South Ridge Trail to the summit of Cadillac Mountain will take them an elevation of 1,500 feet. Once at the summit, participants will gather for a private circle testimony, where each hiker will share the life and story of the fallen hero they carried on this day.
